An unusual George III cased silver gilt and mother of pearl folding Fruit Knife, the plain mother of pearl handle inset with a vacant rectangular silver gilt cartouche, plain silver gilt blade.

Complete with leather slip case.

By John Law, Sheffield, c1800. Makers mark only 'IL' struck 4 times, probably in order to avoid paying duty - a "Duty Dodger"
