A good quality large George III silver Goblet of flared baluster shape with fluted base to the bowl, standing on a circular pedestal foot with gadrooned border and silver gilt interior. Engraved with a contemporary ecclesiastical presentation inscription in Latin:-

Qualteri brown A M
Pretendarii eccliesia cathedralis Christi
Cantuariae
Stemque ecclesiae de stonesfield
In agio oxoniensi
Rectoris
In usam
Capellae de Wychwood

1820"
