A rare Victorian novelty silver Vinaigrette formed as a Watchman's (Charlie's) Lantern, with two tier fluted domed top and suspension ring, glass panels with mock opening door to the body containing a reverse painted intaglio of a lighted candle, the plain base opening to the vinaigrette with silver gilt lift-out grille.
