A fine quality late 19th century American patented sterling silver double Stamp Case of envelope form, the front enamelled with a red 2 cents stamp, franked ""New York 1892"" and addressed in black enamel to: ""Miss Grace Holme, Sacred Heart Convent, Roehampton, London, S.W"". The reverse with a received mark for 10.12.92. The silver gilt interior stamped: STERLING PAT JUNE 24 90.

Unmarked but probably by The Gorham Manufacturing Co, New York, c1890
