A rare Victorian novelty silver and enamel Vesta Case of rounded rectangular form with two hinged lids, made in the form of a perpetual calendar, the face enamelled with the days of the month and a revolving ivory barrel in the lid to set the dates.

In good condition with just one tiny dink to the silver, the makers mark to the exterior rather rubbed. Minor loss of black filling on revolving barrel.
