Asprey's Patent Silver Double Stamp Roll Dispenser & Moistener

A rare Edwardian silver patented combined double Stamp Roll Dispenser and Stamp Moistener, of domed rectangular form, two knurled knobs turning two independent interior rollers to dispense the stamps. Silver gilt lined pull-out drawer to the base, a hinged lid and removable felt lined compartment for the moistener.

The Patent for this stamp dispenser was applied for by Lionel Asprey in 1901 (No 23503), and produced by Asprey's in single, double and triple forms. This version with an added moistener is quite unusual.
