An extremely fine quality mid 19th century Scottish (or made for the Scottish market), gold mounted multi-coloured hardstone sliding Propelling Pencil, the nonagon shaped body made up from multitudinous panels of different coloured hardstones. The cut-out shaped slider button set with Celtic style flower head. The gold mounts formed as engraved acanthus leaves and the screw off flower head and scroll engraved terminal set with a citrine and opening to reveal a rifled lead reservoir.
