A fine Duesbury Derby Dessert Plate of faceted form, painted in the central gilt enriched circular reserve with naturalistic birds perched in branches, including a bullfinch and green finches, a meandering river flowing through the dales with high peaks in the background, by George Compin. All within a concentric gilt dot and arrow head border.

Puce crown and cross swords mark. c1791 - 1795.
