A fine quality late Georgian gold mounted tortoiseshell and pique work sliding Propelling Pencil, with inlaid foliate decoration and chased flower head slider button, the terminal set with a citrine seal stone engraved with initials.
Unmarked, but almost certainly by Joshua Butler & Co, London, c1825 (the fixed terminal points to a slightly earlier date).
