A very rare John Rose Coalport Teapot, Cover and Stand, of oval form with ear shaped handle and faceted spout, the cover with mushroom finial. Painted within the gilt enriched oval reserve with a landscape scene in sepia depicting a meandering river through a parkland scene with a tree in the foreground and a country house in the background, enclosed by a gilt leaf garland and foliate sprays.

Painted by William Billingsley whilst he was at Mansfield or Torksey.

Unmarked c1799 - 1805.

In good condition but with rubbing to the gilt on the stand.
