An extremely rare Victorian novelty silver telescopic Propelling Pencil made in the form of a Shotgun Cartridge, with brass firing pin and green leather mount. The barrel engraved with the retailers mark of Alfred Clarke, 20 Old Bond Street, London.

The cartridge cap stamped with the design registration number 94024. The design was registered by Johnson Sons & Edmonds on the 20th February 1888.
