A rare George IV / William IV Scottish Provincial Gold Vinaigrette of rounded oblong form with reeded sides & a chased floral thumb piece, plain domed base & cover, initialled ""MA"" below a coronet*, the grille pierced & engraved with a rose flower.
Maker's mark only ""J.M."", struck thrice in the cover & thrice in the base, probably for John Mackie, Ellon c1830
