A rare early 20th century silver slide-action "Nomismaticos" Sovereign Case & Note Holder, of a patented design, the plain rectangular case with an attached suspension ring and double sprung hinged opening mechanism, the silver gilt interior with two shaped channels containing sprung steel bases along which the coins can be slid and retained. The lid with a sprung pierced flap to retain notes.
