A very fine quality full hallmarked early 20th century 15 carat gold gravity drop Pencil Holder, the cylindrical barrel with crisp engine turned and line and dot decoration, attached hallmarked suspension ring.
The mechanism works by pressing the sprung plain top section which drops the pencil down, press it again with the item held upside down and the pencil retracts.
Fully marked by Sampson Mordan & Co, London, 1913.
