A rare cased set of 18 early Victorian E.Wolff's CRETA LAEVIS Coloured Chalk Cedar Pencils, complete with original red Morocco leather fitted case. The attached trade label describing the "Newly Invented" Smooth Chalk Pencils:-
'For Drawing in every Colour & Shade, which will not rub out, but may be removed with water'.
Each Pencil stamped:- LAEVIS CRETA PINGO E.Wolff Artificer & Inventor, plus the colour - YELLOW etc.
The case 183mm x 56mm x 28mm.
