A fine quality late Victorian set of six cased Japanese silver teaspoons with lightly gilded bowls in the form of ormer shells, bamboo stems and finials formed as comical Octopi, either scratching their heads or frowning, with gilded eyes and each one slightly different. Complete with Liberty & Co fitted case.

Made by Sadajiro of Musashiya (Yokohama) with import marks for Liberty & Co, London, 1893
