An early 20th century Continental silver and enamel novelty Propelling Pencil made in the form of an Egyptian Mummy, the body decorated with hieroglyphics and flowers in multi coloured enamels. Attached suspension ring.

Unmarked, c1900-1920. Probably made in Germany c1900, but also possibly made in Egypt following the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1920.
