A very fine early 20th century patented American sterling silver and enamel novelty Stamp Case made in the form of an Envelope. The front enamelled with a 2 cents stamp and a New York cancellation mark for 1917, the reverse enamelled with a received mark for 9.14.17, the cover engraved with a name and address for Miss Irene Gadue, No 408 North Ave, Burlington Vt. The silver gilt interior stamped with a makers mark, Sterling and the Patent mark for June 24 90.
