Early 20th Century "Vickery's Patent Wind Screen Silver Matchbox"

				An ingenious early 20th century patent silver Vesta Case of rectangular form with sprung hinged opening mechanism and two internal sprung hinged wings to protect a lit match from the wind. The matches stored in a separate hinged compartment, all with silver gilt linings.

An advert from the Illustrated London News of April 17th 1915 described the matchbox "for use in Active Service, Camping, Motoring and for all Sportsman. A light readily obtained in all weathers".
