A fine quality early 20th century gold, silver gilt and guilloche enamel sheathed telescopic Propelling Pencil of bullet shape with attached suspension ring. The silver gilt pencil with three stage telescopic action and gold grey quilloche enamel finial, is hallmarked and also stamped with the registered design number 45968 (registered by Sampson Mordan in1905). The bullet shaped sheath decorated with grey guilloche enamel and with a band of white enamel leaves.

Almost certainly by Sampson Mordan, London, c1905 (no makers mark).
