An early 20th century silver Butt Marker of plain rounded rectangular form with twin clasp closure, silver gilt interior, the ingenious multi-barrelled hinge opening to produce the 8 numbered steel pegs in a cascading fan pattern. Engraved with contemporary presentation inscription: J.W From P.R.W. Nov 1st 1901.
