An extremely fine quality mid 19th century gold and tortoiseshell Propelling Pencil, the tortoiseshell barrel inset with fine foliate gold pique work, the slider button formed as a rose bud, the screw off terminal seal holder set with a citrine coloured stone, internal multiple lead reservoir.
Unmarked c1840. Possibly by Jos Butler.
