A fine quality early George II silver Waiter of shaped square form with moulded border, standing on four scrolled feet and engraved with a contemporary Coat of Arms and Crest.

The male arms not traced. The wife's arms granted to St George Ludlam on 3rd Feb 1726. Sir George was Chamberlain of the City of London and son of Thomas Ludlam, Mayor of the Borough of Leicester. Those of the husband maybe for Sampson of Leicester.
