George III Silver Plain Escutcheon Wine Label Sherry

John Reily, London 1801
Photo 1 of 6

A George III silver Wine Label of plain escutcheon form, incised for Sherry.

By John Reily, London, 1801.

This label is quite late for this design and it is interesting to note that it was produced early in Reily's time in control of the workshop. February 1801 saw the entry of Reily's mark following his marriage to the widow of his master, James Hyde.
