An extremely rare George IV Provincial silver Wine Label of cut-cornered rectangular form with double thread border, incised for Sherry.

By William Henry Lamport, of Plymouth, assayed in Exeter 1829.

William Henry Lamport does not appear in the Exeter assay books, but is listed in the Street directories from 1823 - 1838 as a silversmith and jeweler at 29 Whimple Street, Plymouth. His mark has not previously been recorded on a Wine Label.
