A rare George III Nelson Memorial Vinaigrette of large size and fine quality, the cover engraved with a portrait of Horatio Lord Nelson on a linear ground within an oval frame bearing his famous message; "ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY", all within a rectangular frame with stippled background. The silver gilt interior with hinged pierced grille stamped with a depiction of H.M.S. Victory and ""TRAFALGAR OCTr 21.1805"". The base with prick-dot engraved border and a foliate patera and contemporary initial.
