A rare 18th century silver Wine Label of banner form with pierced vine leaves and grapes below, an oval cartouche above surrounded by pierced out laurel branches with tied ribbon above, the name plate pierced for Madeira. The cartouche engraved with a crest of an eagle.

This design in various sizes was only produced by Hester Bateman. A similar but smaller design also known by Susanna Barker.
