The year 1813 is significant because it was there year that the breach was healed between the original 'Modern Grand Lodge' and the 'Antients' and the present 'United Grand Lodge' was formed under HRH The Duke of Sussex, who had been the Grand Master of the 'Moderns'. Thomas Harper, deputy Grand Master of the 'Antients', played an important part in the union.
