An extremely rare early Victorian silver Propelling Pencil made in the form of Nelson’s Column. The slider button formed as a fouled anchor. The screw-off top revealing a lead reserve and set with a citrine seal stone. The plinth stamped with the owners name: 'Jos Wood' and engraved with a diamond registration mark for the 30th January 1844. Also stamped with four of Nelson’s most famous Victories – Trafalgar, Nile, St Vincent and Copenhagen.

93 mm closed – 134 mm open.

Complete with associated silk and velvet lined leather case.
