		An extremely rare Georgian Scottish Provincial silver Wine Label of die-stamped neck-ring form, the shaped oval label decorated with vine leaves, grapes and shells, incised for MADEIRA on a scrolled name plate. The circular silver wire neck ring attached by a loop.
Maker’s mark only – ‘WS’, attributed to William Simpson I of Banff c1825. (See: Wine Labels 1730-2003 Edited by John Salter, fig 254 page 69, and text page 70).
In good condition with no damage or repair.
