A very rare set of six George III silver Old English pattern Table Spoons, with engraved contemporary initials “T over I.M” to the handles.
By Peter and Jonathan Bateman, London 1790. Jonathan (Hester’s third son) entered his mark in partnership with his brother Peter on 7th December 1790. He died on 19th April 1791, so the partnership was in existence for less than six months.

In fine condition with no damage or repair and virtually no wear to the bowls at all.
