An early 20th century silver gilt and enamel novelty telescopic Propelling Pencil formed as an Egyptian mummy, the body decorated with hieroglyphics in multi coloured enamels. Attached suspension ring.

Probably made in Egypt in the 1920's following the discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamen.
