A good quality late Victorian 10 carat gold sliding Pencil, the cylindrical body with engraved ivy leaf decoration and a vacant cartouche, the screw-off terminal with attached gold suspension ring and opening to reveal a lead reservoir. The heavy gauge collar and nozzle with both a twist action propelling and repelling mechanism.

By Sampson Mordan, c1890. With engraved "arrow mark" indicating 10 carat gold.

The nozzle marked for 'VS' size leads.
