A good Victorian silver Vesta Case of rounded rectangular form surrounded by an applied band with engraved striker, the completely concealed hinge opens to reveal two gilded interior compartments, the whole with foliate scroll decoration, the lid with circular cartouche engraved with contemporary initials. The box opens ingeniously by applying light downward pressure behind the cartouche on the lid.
