A fine and rare Victorian cast silver Wine Label with pierced vine leaf and grape border surrounding a scrolled nameplate pierced for Sherry and surmounted by an Earl's Coronet. The suspension chain with the unusual addition of a T-Bar.
By Rawlings & Summers, London 1839.
Provence: Archibald William Montgomerie, 13th Earl of Eglinton & Winton. Probably commissioned for the infamous 'Eglinton Tournament' of the 18th August 1839.

Condition
Two small breaks in the frame that could be "in the making", the hallmarks partly obscured by the piercing.
