A rare Victorian German silver Patent Paragon Letter and Coin Balance & Pencil & Pen Case, with reeded decoration to the body. The Paragon Letter and Coin Balance comprises at one end, a slide out steel pen holder and a propelling pencil. At the opposite end is a plain seal terminal which pulls off to reveal the letter and coin balance which is graduated 1D to 4D.
