A very fine and rare Victorian novelty silver Telescopic Propelling Pencil made in the form of a Rowing Boat complete with oars, rowlocks and the swiveling suspension ring formed as the rudder. The blades of the oars inset with royal blue enamel.

Unmarked but almost certainly by Sampson Mordan & Co, London, c1880.
