A Victorian novelty silver Inkstand made in the form of a Chaise Loungue, chased and embossed with various classical romantic scenes including putti amongst landscapes and a fete champetre to the lid, the top opening to reveal a silver gilt interior with a hinged lidded central compartment with a glass inkwell either side, standing on four lions mask cabriole legs.

German .930 Hanau marks to the base and English import marks for David Bridge, London 1895 to the body and lid.

Condition
In good condition with no damage or repair, the glass ink pots are probably replacements.
