An extremely rare Victorian novelty silver Propelling Pencil incorporating a ""Cup & Ball"" game. The pencil extending via a twist mechanism. The ball is locked in position by a screw thread which can be slid out of the way to play the game. The ball is also attached to the pencil via a link chain. The body engraved with contemporary initials EMB.
