An extremely rare Victorian novelty silver Stamp Box combined with a Vesta Box, made in the form of a Davenport Desk, the hinged pull-out match box in the base with an applied steel striker above. The sloping stamp compartment in the top beneath a lid with glass window protecting a Victorian one penny lilac stamp, the leather base with tooled gilt retailers mark for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, by Special Appointment to the Queen..
