A rare Victorian novelty silver telescopic Propelling Pencil, finely cast in the form of Mr Punch, with attached suspension ring.
Unmarked c1880, but probably by Sampson Mordan & Co.
The nozzle marked; 'M' for a 1.02mm size lead.
70 mm open.
39 mm closed.

In good condition and in full working order, a tiny split to the seam at the tip of the nozzle.
