Victorian Novelty Watering Can Condiment

J S Beresford, London 1889
Photo 1 of 6

A rare Victorian novelty silver Watering Can with gilded interior and three small holes to the pierced spout and a hinged lid. Its purpose unknown, but the gilded interior would suggest corrosive contents and the size and number of holes in the spout would suggest liquid, perhaps oil or vinegar or possibly scent.

By John Septimus Beresford, London, 1889.
