An unusual Victorian novelty parcel gilt silver bookmark made in the form of a sword with the words "Your Page"on the blade and the handle formed as a figure of a Page (a knight's attendant).
Made by J H Johnston & Co, New York, USA (it appears in their advertisements from the period).
Import marks for Andrew Barrett & Sons, Birmingham 1893.
The design registered and patented by Louise L. Heustis on behalf of J.H.Johnson & Co February 13th 1894 (see attached).
