A late 19th century patented American sterling silver and enamel novelty Stamp Case made in the form of an Envelope. The front enameled with a red George Washington 2 cents stamp, a New York cancellation mark for 1890 and engraved with the name and address - "J G Baker, Cleveland, Ohio. The reverse enameled with a received mark for 10.14.90. The hinged lid opening at one corner and revealing a silver gilt interior stamped: STERLING PAT JUNE 24 90.
