A very fine late 19th century patented American sterling silver and enamel novelty Stamp Case made in the form of an Envelope. The front enamelled with a stamp and a New York cancellation mark for 1890, the reverse enamelled with a received mark for 12.25.90 (Christmas Day), the cover engraved with a name and address for Miss Daisy Graves, Berkeley Ave, Orange, N Y. The silver gilt interior stamped with the makers mark, Sterling and the Patent mark for June 24 90.
