A fine quality early Victorian silver gilt 'Castle Top' Vinaigrette of rectangular form with raised foliate borders, the sides chased with flower heads and leaves, the base with engine turned decoration and a cartouche engraved with contemporary initials and dated 1840. The lid chased with the view of Windsor Castle in high relief. The silver gilt interior with a foliate scroll pierced grille.
