An unusual George III 18th century silver Wine Label of scroll form with both ends turned under, a central oval cartouche engraved with a crest and supported by swags, bright-cut engraved decoration, incised for HOCK. The crest of a standing bird, possibly a Thrush, for numerous families.

Unmarked, but probably by James Phipps, London c1770. (Examples of this shape, marked by Phipps are known)

In very fine condition with no damage or repair.
