A rare 18th century silver Wine Label of plain escutcheon form, incised with unusual cross hatched engraving for MADERA. This miss spelling of Madeira is often noted on the earliest Wine Labels from the mid 18th century.

Maker’s mark only – J.A in script. Unattributed and possibly Provincial c1750.

In fine condition with no damage or repair.
