Worcester Chelsea Ewer Pecking Parrot Cream Jug

A very rare Dr Wall Worcester moulded Cream Jug of “Chelsea Ewer” form with double scroll handle, painted in polychrome enamels with the “pecking parrot” pattern, depicting a parrot perched amongst fruit and foliage above fern leaf moulding enriched with green enamel, the interior with a floral and leaf garlanded spray, gilt lined rims. c1765.

Unmarked. Slight rubbing to the gilt lined rims, pin head chip to spout.
